Departure: Donation Based Death Doula Services
I became a hospice volunteer in 2018 and completed Going With Grace End of Life Doula training in 2022. I am currently offering donation-based non-medical services and support to those near the end of life and their families to ensure that they feel seen, cared for & present for each other at the end of life. I hope to ease the fear of death that recent culture has created so we can make decisions on how we want our death departure to be designed to create presence and peace. I also want to remind each other that we know how to care for our dying loved ones! You may have never done it before but you can do it and you will have support. It is rewarding and healing to be there for dying loved ones.
Amy was such a gift during my friend’s final weeks. From the moment she came into the home, she brought this calm, grounded energy that helped everyone feel more at peace. She created a thoughtful space filled with comfort and understanding.
Amy was intuitive. She knew when to speak and when to simply let the quiet hold us. She noticed small things to help the moment feel natural. Like background music, fresh plants, open windows, soft lighting, and keepsakes. Little things to turn a really hard time and a clinical space into something meaningful and full of love.
Because of Amy’s care, the transition felt peaceful. I’m so grateful for her kindness and guidance.
